RULES
Article 1 – Registration
Registrations are limited to 16 men’s and 8 women’s teams.
Registration is done through an application and validated by the organization
A team is registered when they have completed the form on our website, made the payment, and when the organization validates their registration via email.

Article 2 – Teams
The teams are composed of a maximum of 10 players (7 players minimum) and a coach preferably.
During the tournament, each team will play a minimum of three matches, in pools of 4.
The captain or coach of each team is expected to be the representative and the only interlocutor with the organization.
Article 3 – Outfit
Each team must come with one short per player, preferably of the same color. The organization provides the T-shirt for the Saturday matches and the complete outfit (jersey, shorts and socks) for the Sunday qualifiers.
Article 4 – Tournament
The matches are played at the Halle Beregovoy and at the Jean Maurice gymnasium in Mondeville.
Saturday from 10am, start of the women’s tournament, then followed at the end of the morning by the men. No break on Saturday noon, the matches follow one after the other, so everyone will know their match times the day before.
In the men’s field, the first two of each group are qualified for the quarter-finals.
In the women’s field, all teams are qualified for the quarter-finals.
Sunday at 12 PM: start of the women’s quarter-finals, followed by the men’s.
No classification match on Sunday.
At the end of the afternoon, entertainment with the 3pts competition, dunks and also some dance shows

Article 5 – FIBA
The rules applicable to the OQ are those in force with FIBA, with the exception of the points specified below.
Article 6 – The referees
The Referees are officials recruited by the organization and referee at 3.
Article 7 – Table Operators
Table Operators are also appointed by the association for all matches over the weekend.
Article 8 – Times
The matches are played in 2X10 uncounted minutes, with the clock stopped in the last minute of the matches. No stop on the Free Throw except in the last minute.
In case of a tie, overtime will be played, with the rule of the first team to 5 points.
Article 9 – Time out
One minute timeout per half during matches.
Article 10 – Substitution
Substitutions are made on the fly, exclusively at the score table, behind the ball. The player leaving the field must exit first, under penalty of a warning, followed by a technical foul if the order is not respected.
They will also need to make physical contact (check).
Article 11 – Fouls
Four individual fouls per player.
Small exception: in the QO, you cannot play with fewer than 5 players. In this case, if the last player to leave is not replaceable, two free throws and possession will be awarded for each foul.
Article 12 – Disqualification
Any unsportsmanlike behavior, violence (verbal or physical), the passivity of teammates in the event of unsportsmanlike behavior by one of them, contentious interventions on the result of a meeting will lead to the disqualification of the team. or players by the Staff.
Article 13 – Defense
The zone defense, the three defensive seconds are prohibited and are at the discretion of the referee.
The penalty is a free throw plus possession.
Circle cleaning is prohibited, the basket will simply be granted.
Article 14 – Equality
In the event of a tie, we will look in order at the specific Goal-average, the general Goal-average, the points scored, the points conceded, the best offensive performance in a match and we will finish with the best defensive performance in a match.
Article 15 – 3pts Contest
The 3pt contest is usually on Sunday afternoon, just before the Dunk contest.
The rules are simple, each player has 60 seconds to shoot the 25 balls, placed on 5 racks of 5 balls, each ball is worth 1 point except for the last one which is worth 2 points.
With a bonus shot from midfield after the buzzer worth 5 points.
The two best scores are in the finals, in case of a tie, we decide on a rack.
And we end with a duel for honor between the champion and the champion.
Article 16 – Dunk Contest
The dunk contest always takes place before the women’s final at the end of the afternoon.
Each participant has 3 dunks in the first round, 1 minute maximum to validate each dunk.
The two best cumulative scores are in the finals, for two dunks each.
The scores are made either with the applause meter or by a jury of 5 members appointed by the organization.
The organization will have, in case of dispute, the final decision !!!!!
Article 17 – Insurance
Players are responsible for their own civil liabilities. The organizers disclaim all responsibility in case of accident, damage, or theft that may occur to any person during their participation in or attendance at the tournament.
Furthermore, the tournament is fully covered by its civil liability insurance.
Article 18 – Refunds
You will be eligible for a full refund of the tournament fees if you cancel by email before June 1st, with no additional delays. After this date, no refunds will be issued.
Article 19 – Accommodation
The organizing committee does not cover accommodation for the teams.
Article 20 – Catering
A fast-food service offering dishes, halal sandwiches, fries, cold drinks, etc., will be available during the tournament.
Article 21 – Transportation
We do not cover transportation costs. All teams will need to travel to the different sites on their own.
Transportation of delegations will be done under their own responsibility.
