Through this trip, the JAKFA association’s main goal is to introduce as many people as possible to African cities and countries from a diverse cultural perspective, while promoting volunteerism and strengthening bonds of solidarity between peoples.
Here are the rules that will help ensure the smooth running of this journey.
I) Registrations
To register for this trip, it is mandatory to be a member of the Quartier Ouest association and to have paid your membership fee.
There is no group membership; each member is registered individually.
For minors, they must be under the responsibility of their parents, a legal guardian with parental authorization, or the association itself.
II) Payment
No registration or reservation can be made without payment of both the membership fee and the trip fee. If you wish to pay them together, please make two separate payments to cover each part individually.
After submitting the online form, you will need to make a bank transfer payable to the association « JAKFA. » You can request payment details by email at justakidfromafrica@gmail.com
Once everything is in order, you will be placed on a waiting list until your payment is received, which will confirm your final registration. You will then receive a confirmation email.
Payments can be made in installments, but full payment must be completed at least one month before the trip.
III) Insurance and Cancellation
You will not find any intermediary offering cancellation insurance for this trip, as the association is not a travel agency and does not apply a fixed refund or cancellation policy. However, you may cancel your participation, knowing that all costs already incurred for your involvement in the main program will be retained according to the timing of your cancellation.
Here are the refund conditions based on the cancellation period:
- If you cancel 3 months before departure, a €100 processing fee will be retained, and the rest of the amount paid will be refunded.
- For cancellations between 3 months and 1 month before departure, 75% of the total amount will be retained, with the remainder refunded.
- No refunds will be made for cancellations within 30 days of departure.
Repatriation assistance insurance is not included by the association. It is therefore mandatory to take out this insurance individually through your own insurer. Before subscribing, please check whether your civil liability insurance already covers this service.
IV) Responsibilities and Rules of Conduct During the Trip
The association is only responsible for the activities included in the program. Outside of these, there will be free time during which each traveler is responsible for themselves. The association is not liable for any theft or disputes during these periods.
Minors without their parents will be under the association’s responsibility 24/7.
If you do not travel with the group from the departure point, you must arrive on time at the designated meeting point for the event.
Please respect all schedules, whether at the airport, hotel, or during activities.
Keep in mind that accommodations are shared rooms, so you may be paired with a stranger. However, we will do our best to group people who know each other together.
Finally, participation in activities during the stay is not mandatory.
