CBCLA Basket, with 12 years of experience organizing basketball camps in France and the USA, is offering its summer camps in the United States: CBCLA Los Angeles 2026, July 21 to August 4, 2026 (13 nights).

Have you always dreamed of playing basketball in the United States? That dream can become reality. Join us in Los Angeles this summer for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: train with high-level American coaches, compete against the best young players in the country, and push your limits every day. More than just a camp, this is a total immersion into the culture of American basketball, filled with unforgettable moments, exciting discoveries, and memories that will stay with you forever.

Please note, each basketball camp is limited, so take advantage of this opportunity!

WHO ARE WE?

Mr. Corneille Akpakoun, a former high-level French player and now a coach for 22 years, describes himself as a talent scout. He created his business, CBCLA, to help as many young people as possible discover the United States, and more importantly, to take advantage of the opportunities they offer in basketball and education.

CBCLA (Corneille Basket Club L.A) was founded in 2013 with the goal of organizing basketball-related sporting events. It includes the Corneille Sport Academy, which allows young French-speaking athletes to live the American dream by enrolling in a Prep School or High School, as well as the Corneille Basket Club, which organizes camps, tournaments, and training sessions in France.

However, this structure is mainly known for its camps in the United States (Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and Phoenix).

Mr Jimmy YAMBA, president of the Quartier Ouest association, is a well-known figure in French basketball. With his background as a former player, coach, and organizer of sports events, he has built a strong network around basketball.

For nearly 20 years, he has been exploring American culture and lifestyle through numerous trips to Los Angeles and Miami, whether in sports, education, or especially basketball.

He is also the founder of the Just A Kid From Africa solidarity program, which aims to help youth by using basketball and education as vehicles for personal development.

All NBA champions started with a dream when they were your age. So, come dream too. » (Coach Corneille)

CBCLA CAMPS

These camps are primarily aimed at mental, physical, and technical preparation.
But they will also help young participants reach a higher level of play and develop their basketball mindset.

Learning, Developing, and Perfecting – these are the three pillars that will ensure the success of such an event, tailored to each individual’s level and supported by the values of Sharing, Friendliness, and Respect.

The target audience should be between the ages of 11 and 21*, regardless of whether they have a FFBB license, and can be either girls or boys.
All registered participants will be divided into three groups based on skill level: High School (Beginner), NCAA (Intermediate), and NBA (Advanced).

Regardless of their level, whether a beginner or an advanced player, every participant will receive individualized training, organized into groups by skill level. The training will be adapted according to each individual’s age and capabilities.

Yes, CBCLA has chosen to differentiate itself from ordinary camps, where young Europeans are brought to the USA just to train among themselves with American coaches. For us, it’s important that our participants interact with American youth to exchange ideas, learn, and compete.

The camp leaders will be available and attentive to everyone during the camp, and even after it through their personal emails. This allows the participants to continue exchanging about their game or other topics throughout the year.

Participants will be under supervision 24/7, and we are always reachable!

OUR STARTING FIVE

Essential for the smooth running of this camp, here are the 5 key points we will emphasize throughout this experience. Here’s a little preview:

1) The Climate
For those who aren’t fans of the French summers, know that in Los Angeles, the sun and warmth are eagerly waiting for you during this time of the year.

2) American Culture
Our camp will provide a total immersion in American culture, with visits to various historical and iconic sites.

3) Education
Our structure places great importance on education and also uses the camp to help young people broaden their horizons.
Our English lessons, as well as our training sessions entirely in English, will contribute to the progress of every player joining our camp.
Respect is a fundamental value for us, and it applies to everyone, both adults and young players.

4) Hard Work
We combine pure basketball training with a significant portion of athletic and physical training to prepare you for your next seasons. The techniques taught are used by coaches and players who have reached the highest levels in AAU, NCAA, and even the NBA.

5) Prep School and High School
We aim to offer some of our campers the opportunity to join a Prep School or High School in the United States, allowing them to balance studies and basketball while evolving in a high-level environment.

This strategic choice will allow participants to work in optimal conditions, discover American basketball culture, and elevate their game level, both technically and mentally.

The MAP represents much more than just a sports complex: it is a space of excellence, discipline, and inspiration, where each young athlete can prepare to reach their full potential.
