The Quartier Ouest association, in partnership with Sapsnshoes, presents its project called Frenchies Love L.A Miami, the objective of which is to take a trip to Miami, departing from Paris.
PLEASE NOTE: This trip is in no way a basketball camp, and is not only reserved for basketball players or young people. Although this sport can take an important place for some through the options. “Frenchies Love” trips are above all trips to discover the city of Miami and Florida.
WHO ARE WE ?
Sapsnshoes is a structure which brings together:
- A sports and urban media, sapsnshoes.com.
- The organization of original events, such as Frenchies Love trips.
- A brand inspired by the codes of fashion, streetwear and sport.
- But also a total of 10,000 followers, on Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok and Instagram.
The Quartier Ouest association, located in Normandy, has more than 15 years of existence to the point of being considered a reference in France and internationally, in the organization of sporting events linked to basketball.
Among the latter, we can find courses for young people, humanitarian missions, but also tournaments, the most famous of which is called the Quartier Ouest. This event brings together professional and amateur players from all over France, Europe, Africa, the USA, and even Japan.
We were able to see the French international Nicolas Batum, player of the Los Angeles Clippers NBA team.
The organization designs its trip itself and offers it directly to its members, without going through intermediaries.
Our trips are open to everyone, with no age or gender restrictions. Whether you are a minor or an adult, a parent or a child, a fan of the orange ball or not, this trip is made for you!
MIAMI
For those who know little or nothing about this famous city, it is a place with a diverse terrain, where the sea and nature combine with urban planning.
Among the legendary names associated with it, we can find South Beach, Everglades, Wynwood, Flamingo Park or even Ocean Drive, to name a few.
This city of more than 6 million inhabitants makes ethnic plurality a real strength.
From Little Havana to Little Haiti, via North Miami, there’s a whole world you can find in this city.
Miami is also a stronghold of American sport, with the Miami Heat in the NBA, les in MLB, the Miami Dolphins in NFL, the Florida Panthers in NHL, the Master 1000 tennis tournament at the Miami Open, the Grand Prix de Miami in Formula 1, college sports with the Miami Hurricanes, as well as the PGA Tour of Golf.
Florida is also well known for the Nascar Daytona 500 race, the Orlando Magic in the NBA, the JJacksonville Jaguars in the NFL, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL, the Tampa Lightning in the NHL, the Tampa Bay Rays in the MLB, as well as the University of Florida in Gainesville.
And for those who need to see elsewhere, know that you can easily travel to Walt Disney World, Orlando and its many theme parks, Tampa, Jacksonville, Saint Augustine, Cape Canaveral, the Bahamas and many other places accessible from Miami.
Of all the great metropolises in the world, Miami is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating and attractive.

1)The Climate
For those who are not happy with the cold French weather, know that in Miami, it is the sun that awaits you impatiently, during this time of year. A real change of scenery for anyone who wants to clear their minds and not let themselves be influenced by the grayness.
2)The Beaches
If I say South Beach to you, that should mean something to you, right? Because yes, it is here and nowhere else that you will find this famous beach. And it’s not the only one, since you can find Crandon Park Beach which has been classified among the most beautiful in the USA, as well as Virginia Key Historic Beach Park which was historically the only beach authorized for people of color, from the 1920s until ‘at the end of segregation.
3) Cinema
How can we talk about Miami without mentioning cinema? There are many films and television series filmed and set in Miami, such as Scarface, Bad Boys, CSI, Dexter, to name but a few, this is the opportunity to never to get closer to the film locations. Movie buffs, welcome to Miami!
4)Shopping
Nothing is more pleasant in such a city than being able to indulge in the madness of shopping. Whether it concerns the Outlets, the Malls or Wynwood, even if you don’t want to make a purchase, simply walking around will be enough to satisfy your curiosity.
5)Basketball
Because without him this trip would not be possible, we must not forget the important place that basketball has in this state. Not only is it home to the university campus of Florida, from which famous NBA basketball players come, such as Bradley Beal, Al Horford, Jason Williams, and even French international Joakim Noah. But above all, it is here that you will be able to see the state’s two NBA franchises in action, namely the Heat and the Magic.
Added to this are numerous playgrounds, the birthplaces of many basketball players who have found their place at the highest level such as Vince Carter, Tracy McGraddy, Amar’e Stoudemire, David Robinson and even the nugget of the Utah Jazz Jordan Clarkson.

THE PROGRAM
The French Love Miami project is above all an associative trip, and its main goal is to discover American culture, to bring together the different fans of a region, of a state, on the same trip.
Sports Fan Experience:
In April, the season is over, so we will be dependent on the results of the regular season, knowing that the Miami Heats have a better chance than the Orlando Magic of making the Playoffs.
You will have the chance to attend a Miami Marlins baseball game.
Basketball :
For those who want to play basketball, whether on the Flamingo Park playground, or even on other courts, don’t hesitate to bring an outfit and your pair of sneakers.
The visits :
You can discover great places such as the Everglades, the Miami campus, the Key West or Little Havana, but also feel like a star on Ocean Drive.
Other activities will be on offer, such as museum visits, evening outings, discoveries linked to cinema, and neighborhoods that will take you on a journey.
We have several surprises in store for you which will be revealed to you in due time!
If you want to venture out on your own, know that there will be no shortage of days of free time. Because when you love Florida, there are places, sites that you must have seen and explored. This is therefore an opportunity to discover them more, on your own.
SOUTH BEACH
During our trip, Miami Beach will be our base camp for our entire stay. Its beaches are well known to cinema fans. The same goes for Ocean Drive, Flamingo Park, or South Point Park. In short, there will be something to satisfy everyone.
