CBCLA partners with Sapsnshoes, and its 15 years of experience in organizing basketball-related events in France, to offer you their summer camp in the United States: CBCLA Miami.
This camp will take place from tuesday July 9 to wednesday July 24, 2024 in Miami, Florida, and is intended for young players of all levels, for a period of 14 nights (departure from Miami on July 23).
Please note that the CBCLA Miami 2024 is limited to 27 or 28 places, so take advantage of it quickly.
WHO ARE WE ?
Mr Corneille Akpakoun, a former high-level French player and now a coach for 22 years, describes himself as a spotter of young talent. He created his CBCLA business to allow as many young people as possible to discover the United States, and especially their advantages at the level
basketball and studies.
CBCLA (Corneille Basket Club L.A) was founded in 2013, with the aim of organizing sporting events around basketball. There is therefore the Corneille Sport Academy, which allows young French-speaking people to live the American dream by integrating a Prep School or a High School, as well as the Corneille Basket Club which organizes internships, tournaments and training in France.
But this structure goes above all through its camps in the United States (Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, and soon in Phoenix in October 2023).
Mr Jimmy Yamba, president of the Quartier Ouest association and founder of the Sapsnshoes structure, is someone recognized in French basketball, for his various connections around basketball as a former player, coach and organizer. For nearly 20 years, he has continued to discover American culture and lifestyle through numerous trips to Los Angeles, in the field of sport, education and especially basketball.
Sapsnshoes is a structure that brings together:
– A sports and urban media, sapsnshoes.com.
– The organization of original events, such as the Frenchies Love trips, the famous international basketball tournament called Quartier Ouest, or the solidarity program Just A Kid From Africa.
– A brand inspired by the codes of fashion, streetwear and sport.
– But also a total of 10,000 followers, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

CBCLA MIAMI
The main objectives of this course are mental, physical and technical preparation.
But it will also help young beneficiaries to reach a higher level of play, and develop their basketball spirit.
Learn, Develop and Improve, these are the three pillars that will make the success of such an event, adapted to the level of each, and supported by the values of Sharing, Conviviality and Respect.
The public concerned must be between 11 and 20* years old, with or without a FFBB licence, girls or boys. All registrants will be divided into 3 groups according to level: Prep School (Learning), NCAA (Intermediate) and NBA (Confirmed).
Whatever their level, beginner or advanced, each trainee will be entitled to individualized training, divided into groups of levels. The work will be adapted according to the age and the capacities of each one.
Coach Andrew Moran is the coach of the best High School program in the USA as well as one of the most famous NBA Skills Trainer, with his 175k followers on Instagram. He works with players of the caliber of Donovan Mitchell, Julius Randle, Zack Lavine, Tyler Hero, Buddy Hield.
He is the founder of the Miami Hoop School, which organizes a Summer Basketball Camp in the hall of Christopher Columbus High School, where our trainees will be in total immersion with young Americans.
Because Yes CBCLA Miami has chosen to differentiate itself from ordinary camps, where young Europeans are taken to the USA only to have them train with American coaches.
For us, it is important that our beneficiaries mix with young Miamians to exchange, learn and compete.
The supervisors will be available to listen to everyone during the course, and even after it via their personal emails, which will allow trainees to continue to discuss their game or other points during the year. .
The interns are under surveillance 24 hours a day, and we are always reachable!

In addition to the six hours of intensive daily training, matches, competitions and tournaments will be added to the Basketball program of our camp. English lessons in situation, as well as non-basketball activities, will also be on the agenda.

OUR 5 MAJOR
Essential for the smooth running of this camp, here are the 5 points that we will highlight throughout this experience. For a little taste, it’s here:
1)The Climate
For those who are not happy with the French summers, know that in Miami, it is the sun and the great heat that await you impatiently, during this time of the year.
2) American culture
Our internship will allow a total immersion in American culture, as well as going to meet different historical places.
3) Education
Our structure places great emphasis on education, and also uses internships to allow young people to open their minds.
Our English lessons, like our training entirely in English, will also allow any player joining our camp to progress.
Respect is the most important point for us, but it concerns everyone, not just adults.
4)Hardwork
We will mix pure Basketball work with a great deal of athletic and physical training, to prepare you for your next seasons. The techniques taught are themselves used by coaches and players who have reached the highest level in the AAU, NCAA and even NBA leagues.
5) Prep School and High School
We wish to offer the opportunity to some of the interns to obtain a place in Prep School or High School, to be able to study and evolve in the United States.

MIAMI
For those who know little or nothing about this famous city, it is a place with a diversified relief, where the sea and nature blend with urbanism.
Among the mythical names associated with it, we can find South Beach, Everglades, Wynwood, Flamingo Park or even Ocean Drive, to name but a few.
This city of more than 6 million inhabitants makes ethnic plurality a real strength. From Little Havana to Little Haiti, via North Miami, you can find a whole world in this city.
Of all the great metropolises in the world, Miami is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating and attractive.
